Bulgaria’s Postbank plans to introduce crypto and traditional investment services through its mobile banking app in early 2027. According to SeeNews, the bank will also provide access to stocks, exchange traded funds (ETFs), commodities and metals.
Customers will be able to access multiple investment options from a single mobile platform with the service. Furthermore, Postbank will use an international investment platform to offer these services. However, the bank has not yet disclosed its partner’s name.
Postbank Expands Its Mobile Investment Services
Eurobank Bulgaria is known as Postbank and is the fourth largest bank in Bulgaria in terms of assets. The latest central bank data shows the bank occupied this position at the end of June 2026.

The planned service will be a part of the investment opportunity to be offered through the Postbank mobile banking app. As a result, the planned offering will allow customers to access digital assets and traditional financial instruments.
The investment service will be composed of cryptocurrencies, which will be one of its components. For those who prefer traditional financial markets, there will be more stocks and ETFs to choose from.

Planned investment offering will also include commodities and metals. But Postbank has not declared the full list of assets that can be used and the full terms and conditions for the service.
The bank revealed its plans in a press release on Thursday. However, it has not shared any more details regarding the platform partnership, fees or the exact date of launch.
Postbank expects to introduce the service in early 2027. So, customers will have to wait for more details on availability and investment features.
Fibank Plans to Introduce Crypto Investments
Bulgaria’s First Investment Bank (Fibank) has made a similar move to Postbank. Last week, Fibank announced that it will launch cryptocurrency investment services in its mobile app My Fibank in early 2027.
Fibank has already picked its intended technology partner unlike Postbank. The bank will work with Bitpanda, an Austrian digital asset platform, to provide cryptocurrency investment services.
The two announcements reflect the increasing interest in offering investment products in mobile banking apps. Moreover, the planned services may allow for customers to access various asset classes via the familiar banking platforms.
But the two banks have made different partnership deals. Fibank called Bitpanda, and Postbank only stated that it will collaborate with an international investment platform.
Both announcements do not give full details of the cryptocurrencies that are supported, the trading fees or the minimum investment. Moreover, customers will have to receive official information to know the final service conditions.
With its planned launch, Postbank will provide an additional investment opportunity to the Bulgarian banking market. Meanwhile, Fibank is readying its own cryptocurrency offering for the same time.
Both initiatives are scheduled for launch in the early 2027 timeframe. The final product details and availability of the services offered by the banks will ultimately determine their progress.
