Kraken launches xChange platform for 24/5 trading of over 70 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs on Ethereum and Solana for global investors.
Kraken, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has launched a new platform called xChange. This platform aims at giving access to global investors for tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs.
Unlike traditional stock markets, xChange’s trading takes place 24 hours a day, Monday through Friday, enabling traders to trade with tokenized equities at any time. The platform uses blockchain networks to establish a safe and fully collateralized digital trading environment.
xChange Platform Bridges Traditional Finance and Blockchain
xChange is built on the xStocks framework, which Kraken purchased in late 2025. The acquisition was looking to merge the traditional finance with blockchain-based trading infrastructure. This platform allows for direct trading of more than 70 tokenised versions of U.S equities, including major companies like Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, as well as major indices like the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100.

The platform runs on multiple blockchain networks, i.e., Ethereum and Solana. By uniting these networks with one execution layer, xChange guarantees that users can access multiple tokenized assets without having to switch platforms. Each tokenized share is fully backed 1:1 by real-world equities by regulated European custodians.
Moreover, in xChange, partial fills are eliminated by using atomic settlement. Trades are done completely or not done at all, so there is less risk for investors. Dividends from underlying stocks are automatically reinvested into token balances instead of being paid out in cash.
Features and Accessibility for Global Investors
xChange has a few unique features that make it stand out from traditional markets. With the platform running 24/5, there is 24/7 trading opportunities during the working week. Fractional trading enables them to begin with as little as $1, without having to pay for costly full shares.
The platform also has advanced trading options. Through Kraken Pro, users will be able to make margin trades with up to 3x leverage using their crypto balances as collateral. Eligible international traders have the opportunity to trade regulated perpetual futures on tokenized equities with up to 20x leverage. These contracts are available on popular stocks including Apple, Nvidia and Tesla, and provide professional traders with additional flexibility and risk management tools.
Investors can also access tokenization of indices like the S&P 500 (SPYx) and the Nasdaq 100 (QQQx). These products enable diversification of a portfolio without having to buy stocks.
However, the platform is not available in some areas. Residents in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia are not able to access xChange. For supported investors, primarily in the European Economic Area as well as select international markets, identity verification and suitability questionnaires must be completed.
